Requirements

 

Competitors must have Saskatchewan Horse Federation (if you live in Saskatchewan) or Alberta Equestrian Federation insurance (if you live in Alberta). Visit our             section for more information about these organizations.

Also, you must belong to our Border Cowboys Club to compete in our Summer Series. This will be checked when you register for each of our shoots. This can be done online and cards can be printed right after you apply so you will have your number.

Handicap Point System

• Level 1 -3 seconds per run 

• Level 2 -2 seconds per run 

• Level 3 -1 seconds per run 

• Level 4 -0.5 seconds per run 

• Level 5 -0.25 seconds per run 

• Level 6 no discount

No money is paid out on the handicap.  Handicap points are for the prizes only.

Rookie/Rifle/Shotgun Incentive

• Anyone who hasn't won a shotgun or rifle class at a CMSA event qualifies

• Level 1 & 2 can enter until they have won 3 times

• Level 3 & 4 can enter until they have won once

• Enter rifle or shotgun class on CMSA site to track points, then declare at shoot registration to run for a separate pool of money from the Open or Limited classes
